Araldite 2014-2 is a high temperature epoxy resin that is used in the production of metal and composite materials. It is a two-part system that consists of a resin and a hardener. The two parts are mixed and then applied to the surface to be bonded. Once it cures, it forms a strong bond that can withstand high temperatures and pressures.

Araldite products are available in over 80 countries and are used in various industries, including automotive, aerospace and construction. The brand is created by Huntsman Advanced Materials, known for its Araldite glue and Araldite epoxy products.

Description

Araldite 2014-2 is a two-part, room-temperature curing epoxy resin adhesive. It offers high-strength bonding with both good impact and shear resistance with high temperature resistance. It has excellent gap-filling properties and can be used on various materials, including metals, ceramics, glass, rubbers and plastics.

Araldite 2014-2 is a general-purpose epoxy adhesive. It is used in applications, including assembly and welding, bonding thermoplastics to metals, forming composite structures, sealing electronic components and more.

To use Araldite 2014-2, clean the surfaces you will be bonding. Then mix equal parts of the resin and hardener, and apply it to one of the surfaces. Following the adhesive application, the joint components must be assembled and clamped. Uniform contact pressure is a must to ensure optimal cure in the joint area.

Is Araldite waterproof?

Araldite 2014-2 has excellent chemical resistance and can be used in both interior and exterior applications. While Araldite 2014-2 is not explicitly marketed as a waterproof adhesive, it does have good moisture resistance and can be used in environments with some water exposure.

How long does Araldite set?

Araldite products vary in terms of setting time. With Araldite Standard, for instance, you need to apply light pressure until the joint sets around 8 hours after assembly. Once set, it can then be
